EXarcade is a retro arcade machine, designed by EXarchitects taking inspiration from the models of our childhood like the Bartop Arcade machine. It has been manufactured by EXarchitects in their fablab in Villaviciosa de Odón, using digital manufacturing techniques. With a futuristic retro design based on old game and watch-type machines, but with a minimalist touch.

EXarcade retro arcade machine has been manufactured with digital manufacturing techniques, using high quality materials and finishes. Furniture in MDF wood with a high gloss lacquer finish + colored methacrylates, according to preferences, 3, 4 and 5 mm. On the other hand, its electronic components were searched for and installed according to the manufacturing qualities of the furniture. For the controls, either original Sanwa-type joystick and buttons were chosen, as well as controllers with ”zero” delay. The built-in 19″ LCD monitor is available with two different screen inclinations: to play standing up or to play sitting down.

Our arcade machine is currently equipped with a Raspberry Pi 3, with a retroarch system. Practically all the retro systems from the 80’s and 90’s to be able to go back for a while to our childhood where we enjoyed great game titles.
