EXarchitects has designed and executed the construction of the offices for Barents Surety, a leading global surety provider, on the top floor of Castellana 81, one of Madrid’s most iconic buildings. This project embodies a perfect blend of contemporary architecture, respect for heritage, and modern functionality, reinforcing Castellana 81’s reputation as a symbol of sustainability, accessibility, and modernity.

An Iconic Setting

Designed by Francisco Javier Sáenz de Oiza, a leading figure in contemporary Spanish architecture. Renowned both for its historical significance and its innovative design, this protected building required an architectural approach that respects and complements its unique character.

Concept and Design

The project is located on the 28th floor, the highest level of the building, and is defined by an open-plan layout that maximizes panoramic views of Madrid. To make the most of the natural light and the spaciousness of the floor, internal partitions have been kept to a minimum, always following the client’s guidelines. The selected material palette establishes a harmonious dialogue with the building’s architecture, incorporating deep blacks and refined finishes in noble materials such as steel, glass, and oak. These materials not only bring elegance and durability but also create a direct connection with the architectural context, complementing the modern design while respecting the essence of the building.

From Virtual to Real

At EXarchitects, we understand the importance of visualizing a project before it is built. Thanks to our expertise with advanced tools like Enscape, we provide hyper-realistic renders that allow our clients to experience their projects through high-quality 3D representations, making it easier to make key design decisions. The renders created with Enscape not only capture the project’s aesthetics and details but also allow us to simulate how materials, textures, and natural light interact—providing a realistic vision of the final result. This approach enables us to offer an immersive and accurate design experience, ensuring our proposals align perfectly with our clients’ expectations. Our mission is to take ideas “from virtual to real”, and these renders are a clear example of how we transform concepts into tangible visions. With EXarchitects, every project is not only imagined—it is clearly visualized before becoming a reality.

Efficient Execution

In collaboration with Delacasa Proyectos, EXarchitects not only designed but also executed the project in a record time of 3 to 4 months. This integrated approach ensured that the project’s initial vision was brought to life with precision, quality, and efficiency.
