Discover the innovative Caixa Forum Valencia project, where EXarchitects collaborated in the parametric design and digital fabrication of unique structures. A milestone in modern architecture, developed together with CLOUD 9 and XPIRAL.
If you are in Hamburg, don’t miss the opportunity to visit The Pink Bear Pavilion and experience first-hand the magic of this project. Art project with parametric design in which EXarchitects has collaborated.
For their project they experimented with 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC and even vinyl cutting, looking for the best techniques for the development of their pieces inspired by Manises ceramics. The project wants to redefine the way to face the future of the Spanish ceramic tradition with new techniques, design and production processes supported by digital fabrication.
Mariana Piñar and Kelly Begiazi at iAtelier, for their project have explored the wood bending technique known as kerfing, using laser and CNC cutting to test the different patterns and their elasticity. To shape the two chair prototypes they have made, they have used rope braiding.
Chama Navarro and Marta Alaminos in iAtelier have been working these months, within the Crafting Europe project, where they have formed a team called ”Marcha Team” developing their project Parenchyma. Where they create jewelry pieces with polyhedral structures through digital fabrication.
María Camba at iAtelier has been working these months within the Crafting Europe project, where she has designed different types of connectors using 3D printing and CNC for an installation formed by deltahedrons that combines different materials.
Yolanda Sanchez (@sedaencolor_) has been working these months in iAtelier, within the Crafting Europe project, prototyping flexible molds for the realization of felt forming.
After many months of work and online tutorials, it was finally time to meet again all the members of iAtelier in the II Residence to make the production. It took place on March 10th, 11th, 12th, 24th, 25th and 26th in Villaviciosa de Odón, Madrid. As it happened in the I Experimentation Residence, it was organized by the teams of EXarchitects and Fábrica de Fabricantes for Fundesarte and EOI within the Crafting Eurupe project.
