Through the use of parametric design, every detail of Las Lomas II is optimized to ensure maximum efficiency and adaptability. This approach allows the home to be tailored to the client’s specific needs, resulting in a unique and functional living space.
Sustainability and Energy Efficiency
Las Lomas II is designed with a strong focus on sustainability. Using high-quality materials and advanced construction techniques, the home ensures superior energy performance, reducing environmental impact and long-term costs.
Design Options
A highly complex project due to the program, dimensions, and topography of the plot. Along with the usual inputs for this type of project, this has led us to propose different versions (all currently in the preliminary design phase, although a full-scope project was previously completed). Despite aesthetic differences between them, all versions share the same layout and several fundamental design principles.
Option 01. “Twisted” Floor Plan Version
Given the topography and the premise of maintaining contact with the terrain to reduce the amount of required foundation and “buried” costs, this version proposes an elongated house with a stacked upper floor. However, to optimize views and create covered terraces on the lower level, the upper floor is rotated, generating galleries and terraces on both levels. Within this option, different versions have been developed in collaboration with clients: with basement/garage, or with a garage on the ground floor.

Option 02. Two-Story “Straight” Version
This two-story version maintains the original program but optimizes layout distribution, removing exterior walkways and some terraces from the lower level.
Option 03. One-Story + Basement “Straight” Version
A version that organizes the entire program on a single floor, with a basement, incorporating the key takeaways from previous versions.
