The CNC bas-relief is an installation conceived by the designer Ángel Cabezón Luna, for the Medieval Interpretation Center of the castle of Alburquerque. It is a large-scale bas-relief, tessellated in 18 pieces of 1m².

The CNC Bas-relief for the Medieval Interpretation Center of Extremadura is an installation created by the designer Ángel Cabezón Luna, where the castle of Alburquerque is represented through a panoramic image.

 

The EXarchitects team has carried out the manufacture of the CNC bas-relief in our fablab in Villaviciosa de Odón using digital fabrication techniques. It is a large-scale bas-relief, tessellated in 18 pieces of 1 m². It has been made by CNC 3D milling on MDF of various thicknesses, generating a 3D mesh from an aerial photograph provided by the designer.

The image is a panoramic view of the castle of Alburquerque taken with a drone, creating the perspective that can be seen in the images shown below.
